Having previously owned college bookstores, we found ourselves with cartons of books that no longer
were being used and no one seemed to want. We also learned of the growing problem at other colleges.
We didn't want to send these books to the landfill, but couldn't continue
storing them, so we began exploring our options and came up with a three-tiered recycling plan.
- Try to find non-traditional sources to "re"-read the books
- Find alternative "re"-sell outlets for quality used, new, remainder and damaged books
- Turn unusable, non-saleable books into "re"-cycled products used everyday
In addition to recycling books, we're also protecting land with a donation to The Conservation Fund, the nation's
leading nonprofit dedicated to preserving America's land and water legacy.
